Recognised by blues aficionados across the world for his unique blend of pounding Bamako bar music and American blues, the legacy of Malian musician Lobi Traoré, who passed away suddenly in June 2010 aged 49, continues to grow.

Released on 180g vinyl on Kanaga System Krush Records, 'Bwati Kono: In The Club Vol.1' was recorded shortly before Lobi's death, and perfectly demonstrates the guitarists distinctive no-nonsense, improvisational skills.

Complete with artwork by Californian paper artist Tahiti Pehrson, the album features six tracks from the 2011 import-only CD 'Bwati Kono – In The Club', which The Telegraph described as "probably the best representation of Malian guitarist Lobi Traoré's style."

The vinyl release is the first of a two volume series, with volume 2 set to feature the three remaining songs from the original CD release, plus two previously unreleased tracks from the vaults.
