The Jar Family - new single, debut album and UK tour

Hartlepool collective The Jar Family will be hitting the road throughout spring and summer 2012 to support the release of their debut L.P., ‘The Jar Family Album’.

Having already supported established artists such as Alabama 3 and Ocean Colour Scene’s Steve Craddock, The Jar Family’s latest tour dates include support slots with indie legends The Charlatans and Babyshambles’ Mik Whitnall and Drew McConnell.

Famed in the North-East for having their debut single ‘Poolie Strut’ played before kick-off at Hartlepool Utd FC’s home games, The Jar Family are also set to perform at the club’s Victoria Park ground on Sunday, May 13th as part of The Pitch Invasion Festival.

In addition, following The Crack magazine’s favourable description of The Jar Family’s sound as “the aural equivalent of real ale”, the band have teamed-up with the Greene King Brewery and will soon announce a series of ‘Beerhouse’ gigs at selected venues across the UK.

Launched on June 25th 2012, the band’s debut L.P. will be preceded by the release of a new single, ‘Broken Minded’, on May 21st.
