Signed to George Martin Publishing, Dan Clews releases his self-titled debut album on December 7th 2009.

The album was recorded during sessions at Air Studios and Abbey Road Studios with, amongst other producers, double-Grammy winner Giles Martin, whose award winning work on The Beatles’ 'Anthology' and 'Love' albums has established him as one of the UK’s top producers.

Dan Clews’ twilight folktronica tinged songs draws their sonic structure from a diverse spectrum of styles, places and people. Hailing from one of the last remaining traditional strawberry farms in Kent, the ‘Garden of England’ is the foundation for Dan’s songwriting landscapes.

After spending a couple of years honing his craft on the UK’s live circuit, Dan moved to Sweden and threw himself into the music scene, collaborating with some of the most interesting talent around. These collaborations resulted in two now sold-out releases with, "The Stars Above".

It was these recordings that helped Dan to secure a publishing deal with George Martin Music. Sir George said, "I was introduced to Dan Clews by a friend.  I have always tried to support young musicians and Dan's music impressed from the first listen. He is too great a talent to ignore and it's a great pleasure to be his publisher."

Support slots for Bloc Party, Jeffrey Lewis, Air Traffic & The Brute Chorus, in addition to airplay & live sessions on radio stations such as XFM, Absolute and the BBC have further cemented Dan’s reputation as a rising star.
