About Mo-Philly Music Group
Jimmy Levine and Raymond Earl founded MO-PHILLY MUSIC GROUP in July 2007 to re-introduce the world to the traditional sounds of NU-SOUL/SMOOTH R&B. In 2006 Jimmy released his album ‘Share My Love’, selling over 500,000 units in the European and Asian markets. While in New Jersey working on his next project, Jimmy called Raymond Earl of the 1970’s million selling group Instant Funk to do a session playing bass. After the session, Jimmy and Ray talked about the troubled times R&B artists have getting the majors to even listen to their music. After much thought and planning the Mo-Philly Music Group was created.
Jimmy enlisted the help of friends in Europe, Australia, Germany and Japan to help promote and market his album Share My Love. To his surprise, all of them came on board and loved the idea of Jimmy and Ray’s new record company (Mo-Philly Music Group) that will service and release new NU- SOUL/SMOOTH R&B and POP music to the world.
Ray and Jimmy contacted industry legends Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff of Philadelphia International Records and the legendary founder of Motown Records, Berry Gordy, to tap into their formula of developing and producing the hit R&B/SOUL artist & music that is still so popular today.
Mo-Philly Music Group CEO, Jimmy Levine, said,”Using the Mo-Philly Music Group New Age Marketing and Promotions, along with the latest technology, Mo-Philly plans to introduce their artists to the UK, Europe, Australia, Japan and New Zealand at the same time, before taking them to Canada and the South Pacific, and finally the USA. Our Slogan is “Re-Discover the music!” and we are incredibly enthusiastic about joining forces with Active Media".
Raymond Earl, President of The Mo-Philly Music Group added, "Our artists have a major following within these markets and we look forward sharing the love of music as well as the great sales opportunities".
Nigel Reveler, Director of Active Media said "We are very impressed with the standard of product from Mo Philly Music Group operation and have high hopes for it to succeed in our territories."
